since curtis F-150 thread got a bunch of us swapping stories i figured id put up my numbers on the tundra after a full year of ranch and lease work. 2016 Toyota Tundra SR5, 5.7 iForce, 4x4, double cab, 92k miles when i bought it, one owner. i run a place outside uvalde and needed a truck that would haul a side by side out to the senderos, drag a feeder trailer around, and take the ranch beating without a second thought. found it on mainstreetmotortx.com last fall after a buddy told me thats where he got his.
asked the corsicana lot to send me the maintenance records and they had them, the truck had been a one owner trade with real service history and no wreck on the carfax. i paid a mechanic in del rio to run down and look it over before i committed, and the only thing he flagged was the front pads were about half worn and it wanted a serpentine belt soon. neither one was a deal breaker on a truck that priced out five grand under the toyota stores near me.
ran it hard all year, feeder runs every couple weeks, a rzr on the trailer through the season, and every ranch chore in between. here is what it actually cost me to keep a used tundra earning its keep, for anybody trying to budget a ranch rig.

that is the honest year. nothing broke that was not a wear item, and buying a clean used one off the corsicana lot instead of a new payment put the whole spread back in my pocket. a tundra that was cared for will run past 250k, so i figure i bought a lot of ranch years for the money.
